RACEceiver Radios Mandatory For AllMontpelier Motor Speedway Divisions in 2013.RACEceiver (one way radios) will be required for all divisions and drivers at the Montpelier Motor Speedway during the 2013 season. The popular RACEceiver radio being used at the Montpelier Motor Speedway is compatible with all other local tracks and their driver communication systems. The RACEceivers will allow track officials to communicate directly with drivers on the track allowing race line ups to be quickly reset when cautions occur along with increasing driver safety with the ability to immediately alert drivers of cautions and trouble areas.
Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget SeriesReturns in 2013The Montpelier Motor Speedway is pleased to announce the Montpelier Midget Series will return for its second season as the series continues into 2013. The series averaged nearly 15 cars in its first season and brought numerous open wheel stars from 8 different states to East Central Indiana in 2012.
Montpelier Motor Speedway Honors Track Champions, the Top 10 Finishers In Points in Each Weekly Division, and Rookies of the Year With Trophies, Jackets, and Prize Money Totaling More Than $11,000The 2012 season concluded on November 10 with a formal banquet held at the new Montpelier Civic Center to honor and show appreciation for the 2012 Track Champions, Top 10 in each Division, and the Rookies of the Year. Trophies, Montpelier Motor Speedway Jackets for Track Champions and Rookies of the Years, and a 2012 Points Payout totaling more than $11,000 was distributed to drivers. The Track Championship points payout and banquet is currently in its second season and was an off-season project, Harold and Lori Hunter, undertook to honor a minimum of 45 drivers who competed at the speedway in 2012.
