The 27th annual season at the Montpelier Motor
Speedway located in east central Indiana will be a historical season
as the facility celebrates 110 years of racing.
Race fans and teams will find a full slate of Saturday night racing
on the 1/4 mile clay oval with a schedule of 33 events for the 2013
season. The 2013 season opens on March 30 and will run
throughout the summer and fall and will be concluded by the Monster
Mash VII on October 26. The Montpelier Motor Speedway, owned
by Harold and Lori Hunter, are currently in their fifth year of
promotion and 3rd year of ownership of the racing facility.
The speedway is currently slated for several major facility
improvement projects for the 2013 season that will be announced upon
completion.
2013 Purse
Information
The 2013 season will find a nicely structured
purse for all of the speedway classes. The Super Street
division will find a brand new and increased weekly purse for the
2013 season while the Thunder Car class will find the weekly purse
is a continuation of the increased special season ending 2012 purse.

Track Championship
Payout in access of $12,000 for 2013 Season
The Montpelier Motor Speedway is set to offer
its largest track champion payout in the history of the Montpelier
Motor Speedway. A hefty season ending payout of over $12,000+
in cash will be paid to the top 10 competitors each the UMP
Modifieds, Super Street, Thunder Car, FWD Compact, Mod Lite, and
Midget divisions at the season championship banquet in November.

Special Shows
Special shows and programs will again be the
focus for the divisions and drivers that support the speedway on a
weekly basis. The Montpelier Motor Speedway will return 7
marquee events for the 2013 season with special payouts for the UMP
Modifieds, Super Streets, Thunder Cars, Mod Lites, and FWD Compacts.

RaceCEIVER Radios Requied for all Divisions in 2013 Season
RaceCEIVER Radios will be required for all
Montpelier Motor Speedway classes in 2013. The one-way radio
raceceivers will allow allow track officials to communicate directly
with drivers during cautions providing a much a safer and timely
show for fans and teams.
Montpelier Midget
Series Continues Into 2nd Season
The Montpelier Midget Series will enter its
second year of the series with 10 scheduled shows at the MMS.
The series features lightweight/high horsepower open wheel race cars
and brought numerous numerous open wheel stars to the East Central
Indiana racing facility during the 2012 season. The Midget
series will kick off their season as a part of the Montpelier Motor
Speedway 110th Anniversary Celebration with a double header event on
April 5 and April 6.
FWD Compact Division
To Begin Budget Entry Class at MMS for 2013
The class
will utilize race cars where the only allowable modifications will
focus mainly in the areas of safety. The class using factory stock
produced drive train/components is designed to be a fun/beginner
class that will encourage local participation at an affordable
level. The class will also provide a foundation for beginners and
young drivers to get involved in racing along with a platform for
those drivers to move into other advanced racing classes in future
seasons.
