(Somerset, PA May 3, 2015):  Anticipation is building for the 2nd Annual Bilstein Mod Lite STARS Mid West Nationals presented by New Augusta Auto Servicescheduled for this Saturday, May 23rd at the ¼ mile D shape Montpelier Motor Speedway paying $1,000 to win. Promising weather forecast has fans, competitors, and staff ready and raring to go.
The Mod Lite STARS will bring their most potent and diverse roster of drivers to the Speedway to do battle with the tough local contingent of mod lites racers competing under the banner of New Augusta Auto Service.  New Augusta Auto Service is a Napa Auto Care Center proudly serving the entire Northwest corner of Indianapolis and the surrounding areas for over 25 yearsand A+ rated by the BBB. New Augusta Auto Service has been providing fleet service to local business with technicians having over 85 combined years of experience.
Consistency has been a virtue for Alan Knepper, who once again finds himself atop the Mod Lite STARS national point standings after winning the Winter Nationals at Bubba Raceway Park in February. Last year the popular driver from Somerset, PA took an early lead in the feature event and never looked back. With plenty of racing behind him, he stretched out his lead and left the race for the runner up spot well behind. The victory was Knepper’s first STARS national win but has multiple wins at tracks closer to his home. In 2013 Allen Knepper won his first Bilstein Modified Lite STARS Mid Atlantic Regional Championship running against some of the top drivers is the United States.
Close behind in the early stages of the Mod Lite STARS national championship run is series top driver Corey Babbit, of Channelview, TX. This young racer currently sites in second place with an impressive finish during the Winter Nationals. Second generation racer Joe Isabellsits third in the standings, just a couple of markers ahead of New York driver Rick Demo.And we can’t count out Tyler Riggs, who is hot off a win in the 5th Annual Pat Herrick Memorial held at Tyler County Speedway last month.
Drivers attending the 2nd Annual Mid West Nationals will be running under the Bilstein Mod Lite STARS 2015 rules with Tire Rules: “Any tire identified by the region/club/track with a tire width max. 8” and 40-dirometer minimum before the race will be allowed”.

Gates will open at 3 p.m. Saturday, with practice at 5:00. Racing will begin at 6:30 p.m., with heat race action immediately following. Come out early to enjoy the warm weather and to get your favorite seats. A huge crowd will be expected for this special event.
